Alberta's grandeur and beauty are obvious from the moment of arrival. Rolling foothills, intimidating mountains and prehistoric hoodoos are a few of Alberta's more distinct natural landmarks. Most impressive are Alberta's Rocky Mountains, which facilitate the world famous resort towns of Banff, Jasper, Canmore and Lake Louise. When you think of Alberta golf you naturally include the Stanley Thompson classics Banff Springs Golf Club and Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club since both are award winners and must plays. But there are hidden gems that should be added to the list like Silvertip Golf Club in Canmore, Links of Glen Eagles in Cochrane, Speargrass Golf Club just east of Calgary, Wolf Creek near Ponoka, RedTail Landing in Edmonton and Dinosaur Trail that's carved from the hoodoos and coulees of the badlands near Drumheller. Golf settings just don't get much more beautiful than those offered in Alberta. The hardest part is keeping your eye on the ball.
